Mount Road Carpark

This is the regular scene in the morning on a school day, of the traffic queueing back from the Angel hill traffic lights. If you want to drive into Bury St.Edmunds town centre, you have to allow about 30 minutes to go the mile and a half from the Moreton hall estate, if you leave home at about 08:15.

I really don't understand how and why people put up with it each morning, and its possibly going to get worse with more houses being built in the area of The Flying Fortress pub.
My solution, in an idea world, would be a mono-rail that ran from the bottom of Appledown Drive to the railway station in town, continuously back and forth, parallel with the existing railway line.
But anyone sitting in their car each morning could be walking or cycling the short distance into town and getting some exercise at the same time. A "mum" I know who lives near me, cycles with her children to school because the children want to, and not go by car, and its admirable cycling with them past this line of traffic.
